1. Introduction
Welcome to Score Keeper (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application for scorekeeping, game records, player management, and related tools.
Score Keeper is designed as a standalone, device-local application. We do not operate user accounts, social features, or cloud sync services within the App. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect very limited information, and most data never leaves your device.
- Data you enter: player names, game scores, match history, custom templates, language preferences, and other content you voluntarily create while using the App.
- App settings: preferences such as display language and privacy consent status, stored locally on your device.
- Export/import data: if you use export or import features, you control the JSON data file. We do not receive that file unless you choose to share it yourself (e.g., via email or messaging apps).
We do not require registration, and we do not collect your real name, phone number, email address, government ID, precise location, contacts, photos, or payment information through normal use of the App.
3. How We Use Information
Information stored on your device is used only to:
- Provide core features (scoring, records, statistics, toolbox utilities);
- Remember your settings and in-progress games;
- Enable optional data backup and restore via export/import;
- Improve stability when diagnosing issues you report to us.
We do not use your game data for advertising profiling or sell it to third parties.
4. Local Storage & Data Retention
All primary App data is saved in local storage on your device (e.g., app-specific storage provided by your operating system). Data remains until you delete it through in-app “clear data” options, uninstall the App, or remove the device storage manually.
Because data is stored locally, uninstalling the App or clearing app data may permanently delete your records. We recommend exporting your data periodically if you wish to keep a backup.
5. Network, Permissions & Device Access
The App is intended to work without relying on our servers for everyday scoring. Your device OS may still grant permissions such as network access or vibration for optional features (e.g., haptic feedback). We request only permissions needed for stated functionality.
If the App opens external links (such as this privacy page in a browser or webview), your browser or system may process standard connection metadata. We do not use those visits to build advertising profiles.
6. Third-Party Services
Score Keeper does not embed third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in its core offline workflow. If you share exported files or contact us by email, those actions involve services you choose (mail clients, cloud drives, etc.), which have their own privacy practices.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is a general-purpose scorekeeping tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will assist with deletion on the device side.
8. Your Choices & Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information. Because most data stays on your device, you can usually exercise these rights directly:
- Edit or delete players and game records in the App;
- Use “clear all data” in settings to remove local storage;
- Uninstall the App to remove associated local data;
- Contact us for questions about this policy or data practices.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing your device (passcode, biometrics, etc.) and any backup files you export.
10. International Users
Because data is stored on your device, it generally does not cross borders unless you move the device or share exports internationally. If you use the App while traveling, local laws may still apply to how you handle exported data.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice within the App where appropriate.
