2. Scope

This policy describes how information is handled when you use LifeCalendar. Because the app works entirely on your device without connecting to our servers, our role is limited to explaining what the app stores locally and how you control that data.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

LifeCalendar does not transmit your content to us or to third-party analytics or advertising networks. The following types of data may be stored locally on your phone or tablet when you use the app:

3.1 Profile & preferences

• Nickname and avatar (emoji) you choose
• Birth date and expected lifespan (used for age and life-progress display)
• Theme color and display language
• Whether you have accepted this privacy notice (stored locally so the app does not ask again)

3.2 Life records you create

• Life events (title, date, category, mood score, notes, icons)
• Daily mood check-ins and related chart data
• Diary entries and journal text
• Habits, goals, gratitude lists, and similar records if you use those features

3.3 Export / import files

If you use backup or restore, the app reads or writes a JSON file that you control (for example via copy/paste or your device’s file system). We do not receive copies of exported data.

We do not collect, and the app is not designed to send to us:

• Account registration information (no sign-up is required)
• Precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data for app functionality
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data
• Usage analytics uploaded to our servers

LifeCalendar is intended to run without network access for its core features. Your operating system or app store may still collect standard download or crash diagnostics under their own policies, which are outside this app’s control.

5. How Your Data Is Used

Data on your device is used only to:

• Display your timeline, charts, diary, and home dashboard
• Calculate age, life progress, and statistics you see in the app
• Remember your settings and language choice
• Export or import backups when you explicitly request it

We do not use your content for marketing, profiling, or sale to third parties.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties because we do not have access to it. Any sharing happens only if you choose to—for example by copying an export file, backing up your device to cloud storage, or transferring data to another app.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it within the app, clear app storage in system settings, or uninstall LifeCalendar.

The app may offer options to clear all local data or remove individual events and diary entries. Uninstalling the app typically removes all locally stored app data from that device.

We cannot delete data from your device remotely because we never receive it.

8. Security

Please protect your device with a passcode, biometric lock, or equivalent. Because data is stored locally, anyone with access to your unlocked device may be able to view your records.

We recommend regular backups using the in-app export feature and storing backup files in a place you trust.

9. Children

LifeCalendar is a general personal journal tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has entered personal information in the app on a shared device, you may delete the data through the app or by uninstalling it.

Mood tracking and life reflection features are for personal reference only. LifeCalendar does not provide medical, psychological, or crisis intervention services. If you need professional support, please contact a qualified healthcare provider or local emergency services.

11. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because we do not hold your data on our servers, you can exercise these rights directly in the app or on your device by editing or deleting your records, exporting them, or removing the app.

12. International Users

LifeCalendar processes information only on your device. No cross-border transfer to our servers occurs for app content because we do not collect that content centrally.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be communicated through app store release notes or in-app notices where appropriate.
